Refund policy

1. Overview

At Local Travels CPT, we value every client and aim to provide a seamless, reliable, and professional experience for all travellers. Our refund and cancellation policy is designed to ensure fairness and clarity for both our clients and our operations team.

2. Cancellations by Client

  • Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled service date are eligible for a full refund, minus any applicable processing fees.
  • Cancellations made between 48 and 72 hours before the scheduled service date qualify for a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the service date are non-refundable.
  • No-shows or failure to appear at the pickup location at the confirmed time will result in no refund.

3. Changes & Amendments

  • Changes to bookings (date, time, destination, or passenger count) can be made subject to availability and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.
  • If a new booking cannot be accommodated, the standard cancellation policy applies.

4. Cancellations by Local Travels CPT

In the unlikely event that Local Travels CPT must cancel a service due to operational, weather, or safety reasons:

  • Clients will be offered the choice between a full refund or a credit voucher for a future booking of equal value.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. International Clients

  • Refunds for international clients are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).
  • Currency conversion charges or international transaction fees are not covered by Local Travels CPT and are the responsibility of the client.
  • Refund timelines may vary depending on your financial institution.

6. Non-Refundable Services

  • Certain custom, third-party, or specially arranged itineraries may be non-refundable once confirmed.
  • These exceptions will always be clearly communicated before payment.

  • Please include your booking reference, full name, and date of travel.

8. Policy Integrity

  • Local Travels CPT reserves the right to amend this policy as required, while always ensuring transparent communication and client fairness.
